Bad Company

Initially brought on board to help with franchise growth I quickly recognised opportunities in other areas. Hosting a small team across three locations, I could see the advantages of introducing a number of systems and processes that would help streamline operations and team communications.

I set to work integrating systems with the team that allowed for clearer communications for their remote nature, simplified access to shared resources, developed brand assets and also worked on team growth and goal setting for individuals. I did this through; clarifying the company mission, vision & values, developing the brand and guidelines, defining the company goals and individuals goals (assisting the team in understanding how to align these), and last but not least—conducting team personality tests (to help individuals understand their strengths and weaknesses so we could support one another).

Brand recognition and growth were also key focus areas—mahi was carried out in areas of sales, social media and events.

  • Britt's leadership style is the perfect balance of being direct and clear, paired with an undeniable dash of brilliance. A true-born leader, Britt can adapt to any environment, and every time I left our meetings, I felt excited about the tasks ahead and empowered as part of the team.

  • Britt's ability to listen and hear our pain points and then empower us to go forth has been both beneficial to our productivity and team collaboration. She managed our brand development and organisational structure as well as how to grow and develop team members. If your work is feeling messy and you need some structure with a dose of confidence to empower you and your business to the next level, Britt is your gal.

  • On a personal level, Britt’s support was invaluable. I often describe her as a bit of a lighthouse—guiding me through the fog of business when I couldn’t see clearly. With her approach, I found my way back to the light, and as a leader, I began to stride ahead, as did the team. She found my lightbulb, plugged it in, and showed me how easy it was to flick it back on.

  • Meeting with Brit was like finding a unicorn. She was able to clearly articulate where we were heading, created a structure for us to all work from and collated templates from her years of experience. She understood what it was like to grow a small business (having done that herself) and how to navigate those turns. The whole time, she said to us, "If I do my job right, you wont need me." And although it's sad that we no longer work with her day-to-day, she was right. Our systems and templates are set and we are able to do 90% of the work ourselves. The other 10%, we happily call her (thanks Britt).
