Flick are New Zealand’s carbon neutral Kiwi owned electricity company who stand with and beside all the Steve’s, Whaea’s, John’s, Chrissies, Su’s and Karen’s of New Zealand. Yes, even the Karen’s. “Our solution is your solution. Your side is our side. We’re in this together. Flick yeah.”
I was commissioned to create a uniquely Kiwi illustration style that not only captures the essence of diversity but also represents every corner of our incredible country. Working closely with the in-house design team, we aimed to ensure that this style would be easy for them to implement across various campaigns and collateral, leaning into existing brand textures, colours and elements. We collaborated closely throughout the process to guarantee that everyone was included and represented in the final characters.

Process: Briefed by in-house designer, Angela Watkins, followed mood boards and creative direction of Ange, developed and rolled-out a series of characters and objects ready for the in-house team to make their own and continue to develop as and when they need it.
